Laptop will not turn on

1. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 15 minutes. A deeply discharged battery needs time before it will respond.
2. Check the charger's LED. No light means the charger or the outlet is the fault, not the laptop.
3. Hard reset: unplug the charger, hold the power button down for 30 seconds, release, reconnect the charger, then press power.
4. Test a different outlet and, if available, a known-good charger.
If none of this works, bring it to the IT Service Desk. Please back up anything critical first if the machine has ever booted.
